First round of the girls’ state high school basketball tournament didn’t go well for two area teams.
Several wrestlers who are members of the Chase County Wrestling Club competed at the youth wrestling district tournament last weekend in North Platte.
After hosting the first overnight stop for Bicycle Ride Across Nebraska (BRAN) cyclists last summer, this year’s BRAN will give cyclists new options as they ride across the state.

Cody Williams competed in the pole vault at nationals last week, but that wasn’t all. He finished fifth overall in the individual event and was second in the pole vault as part of the heptathlon competition.
