Three out for golf this season

Golf coach Jeff Gleisberg was expecting a full squad for this year’s golf team. But as it turned out, the team consists of two seniors, Karsen Klooz and Austin Laird, and freshman Nickolas Rau.
Gleisberg said both Klooz and Laird come in with experience. Klooz was a member of the golf team at his previous school and Laird competed on the team last year.
Getting prepared for next Tuesday’s opener at Dundy County Stratton has been a challenge with the weather thus far, Gleisberg said.
They’ve been going to the course as much as possible. When that’s not possible they’ve been practicing on a golf simulator.
He said Matt Hanna has let the team use the simulator bay he has set up in the Channel building.
