Going into Saturday’s home meet for the Longhorn wrestlers, coach Matt Vlasin didn’t know what to expect.
As the Lady Longhorns traveled to Kimball Tuesday for their first round SPVA tournament game, they were probably still smiling after tallying three big wins last week.
Matt Vlasin’s Chase County wrestlers won’t have to hit the road this weekend. Instead, they will play host Saturday to 14 teams coming to Imperial for the annual CCS invite.
Despite a near 20-point loss to undefeated Dundy Co. Stratton last Thursday, the Lady Longhorns came back strong two days later, getting a win over a good Kimball squad.
