Three girls’ teams from west top-seeded in state tourney

Half of the high school girl’s basketball teams who are top-seeded in this weekend’s state tournament hail from western Nebraska.
Sidney in Class B, Mitchell in C1 and North Platte St. Pat’s in D1 all enter the tournament with #1 by their names.
By Saturday night, Nebraskans will know how those No. 1 seeds held up.
First round games at the state tournament kick off today (Thursday) at Pinnacle Bank Arena, the Devaney Sports Center, Lincoln Southwest and Lincoln North Star.
