A decent crowd, good car count, cooperative weather and phenomenal race track made for a fine evening of stock car racing at Phillips County Raceway in Holyoke Friday.

The entire Troy Hauxwell family of Imperial celebrated Troy’s parents’ 50th anniversary Sunday, and also put in miles for the Torch Run. From left, Haven, Addison and Faith Hauxwell loft the torch they carried. With other relatives, the Hauxwells logged about 24 miles as a family unit.

    Every few years, the Cornhusker Games Torch Run comes through Imperial and Chase County.
