Legion seniors chalk up big win at home

It was a good day times two for the Imperial Legion seniors Sunday.
Not only was it Imperial’s home opener at Campbell field, the seniors also chalked up their season’s first win, and in a big way.
Sunday’s 10-2 win over Cozad upped their record to 1-3 as just the 10th day of the season arrived.
In other action the past week, the seniors lost a close 3-2 game at Ogallala in a rain-shortened contest.
At Broken Bow Saturday, Imperial lost a 13-5 game.
Since Sunday’s home game, the seniors will be idle until Monday, July 6, when they host Holdrege. Games start at 3:30 p.m. with the juniors. Seniors will follow about 6 p.m.
A junior/senior double-headers will take Imperial to Cozad Tuesday starting at 3:30 p.m. MT
The teams return home next Thursday, July 9, against Ogallala. Juniors open play at 4:30 p.m., with seniors to follow.
