The entire Troy Hauxwell family of Imperial celebrated Troy’s parents’ 50th anniversary Sunday, and also put in miles for the Torch Run. From left, Haven, Addison and Faith Hauxwell loft the torch they carried. With other relatives, the Hauxwells logged about 24 miles as a family unit.

    Every few years, the Cornhusker Games Torch Run comes through Imperial and Chase County.

Opening Legion games just two weeks away

    After a long few months with limited sporting events thanks to COVID-19, baseball games are just two weeks away.

Imperial will soon be hearing the sounds of baseball. Earlier this month, Gov. Pete Ricketts okayed the start of baseball and softball with first games on June 18. Last year, above, Legion Coach Bruce Peterson visits with members of his baseball team in a game against Ogallala.
