Players from 11 teams in the Mid-Nebraska Baseball League have been chosen for the 2020 all-conference team.
Among the selections are Imperial senior Legion players Trevor Peterson and Dominic Sis.
Peterson was picked for the all-star team as a catcher, but also pitched for Imperial. Sis was  selected as an all-star pitcher, but also played first base during the season for the ‘Horns.
Both players are 2020 graduates, Peterson from Chase County Schools and Sis from Dundy Co. Stratton High School in Benkelman.
In addition to Imperial, the roster of 33 all-stars represents teams from Broken Bow, Gothenburg, Ogallala, Holdrege, Grand Island, St. Paul, Shelton-Gibbon, Central City, PWG and Kearney.
The all-star game coaches, who are chosen based on their teams’ tournament finishes the previous season, made the all-star roster selections.
Each of the 2020 all-stars will receive a certificate from the league.
Normally, the group of players compete in an all-star game in Kearney. But due to COVID-19, that game is not being organized by the league this year, said Imperial Coach Bruce Peterson.
However, Peterson said this week league coaches are attempting to organize an all-star game for early August.
Coach Peterson had been chosen an assistant coach for the West All-Star Team.
