Junior girls lose nail-biter to Grant

Despite an 0-2 record, the junior girls softball team has been battling in their two games of the season.
The game at home against Wallace on June 25 was postponed, Coach Atlanta Maronde said.
The girls traveled to Grant on July 2, where Grant won, 12-9
Kayla Chavira was in the circle for the juniors, where she had seven strikeouts.
Catcher Ansley Maronde stole home for runs twice on the night.
Also scoring against Grant were Peyton Owens, Jaiden Hill, Marley Randall, Annika McDaniel and Olivia Hiykel.
Next junior game on the schedule will be at Wallace today (Thursday) starting at 6 p.m.
