Imperial 1 sports 1-1 record after first games

Imperial 1 opened its season with a series of away games at Grant on June 24 and at Wallace on June 26.
Grant won the first game, 14-4.
Tristan Jablonski was on the mound against Grant, surrendering nine runs on five hits, striking out two and walking six.
Luis Co went 2-2 at the plate to lead in Imperial’s offense.

Imperial 1 came away with the win at Wallace Friday, 12-6.
Co led Imperial with RBIs coming off an in-the-park homerun.
Camron Lempke started on the mound against Wallace. He completed two innings, striking out two and walking none.
Also pitching were Kaden Vogt and Jablonski.
“We hit the ball and ran the bases very well,” Coach Jeff Lempke said. “The kids did a good job making plays in the field to get outs.”
Their first home game will be this Friday against Ogallala 1 starting at 7:30 p.m.
