In the semi-finals of the 175 pounders, Thomas Reeves works to turn Daden Beauprez of Yuma to his back. Reeves was successful and secured the pin with 0:36 seconds left in the first period. Reeves went on to take first place.

In the 215 pound class, Jaret Peterson kept his perfect season alive, winning all his matches by pin and never seeing a third period. Here, Peterson uses the high crotch lift to put down Kenyon Florom of Paxton on his way to a pin in 1:27. Peterson was also voted the outstanding wrestler of the tournament in a vote from the coaches.

In the finals of the 113 pound division, Brextin Moreno secured this pin over Luke Gardner of Garden County just 1:13 into the second period for the championship.

In the heavyweight division, Zach Tarin (CC) and Juan Perez (PC) each entered the finals with just one loss on their record. Tarin got this takedown in the match which helped to secure his 7-3 win to take the heavyweight title.
Due to the extreme cold weather on Saturday, a few of the teams for the Chase Co. Invitational withdrew.

Trey McCrumb flips Yuma’s Daden Beauprez and earns fifth place with a pin at the Chase County Invite.
The Wauneta-Palisade wrestlers battled through a long day of wrestling at Saturday’s Chase County Invite. Trey McCrumb led the Broncos with a fifth-place finish at 175 lbs.

Haley Rusher shoots a text-book double leg takedown on Lillian Miller of Sedgwick Co./Fleming in her final match of the day. Rusher won this match with a tech-fall score of 20-2.to wrap up first place.

Brooke Schilke secured a pin from this move over Morrill’s Bailee French in her final match of the day. Schilke went unbeaten on the day to take first place.
The Chase County Girls only had six wrestlers entered at the home meet and finished in a respectable fifth place.
Five of the six girls finished with medals.
