Chase Co. 4-H youths earn high marks at State Fair

    Several Chase County 4-H youths earned high marks at State Fair competition, which concluded earlier this month.

The 2019 Cattlemen’s Ball hosts and committee members presented a $673,738.95 check Sunday to Dr. Ken Cowan, Director of University of Nebraska’s Fred and Pamela Buffett Cancer Center in Omaha. Cattlemen’s Ball hosts present funds to Buffett Center, 13 local organizations

    The primary goal of the 2019 Cattlemen’s Ball was to raise money to “Round Up a Cure” for cancer research.  
    The Ball, held in June west of Wauneta, raised $748,598.83.
