On April 25, The Home Agency of Elwood will present Git-R-Done for Team Jack Foundation with Larry the Cable Guy at 8 p.m. CT at Lincoln’s Pinnacle Bank Arena.
The event in its entirety will benefit the Team Jack Foundation, a non-profit organization that raises funds for pediatric brain cancer research.
The Home Agency, headed up by Wauneta-native Jim Baldonado, was asked to serve as the event’s elite sponsor.
“When we were asked, my family and I decided it would be an excellent opportunity to do something different, size-wise, than we’ve done before. But, the main reason we accepted is that it’s a great cause,” explained Baldonado.
He added that sponsoring the event is, “exciting for our family and for The Home Agency.”
Comedian Larry the Cable Guy is dedicating this performance to raising funds for the Team Jack Foundation to support pediatric brain cancer research.
Dan Whitney, better known as Larry the Cable Guy, is a multiplatinum recording artist, Grammy nominee, Billboard award winner and one of the top comedians in the country.
Whitney sells out theaters and arenas across the United States.
Baldonado and his family will have the honor of presenting the Hoffman family with a check prior to the performance and introduce Whitney as Larry the Cable Guy.
“We are overwhelmed by the graciousness of Mr. Whitney and inspired by his generosity to hold this event. This will make a huge impact on the disease and we could not be more thankful,” said Andy Hoffman, chairman of the Team Jack Foundation and father of Jack Hoffman.
“Mr. Whitney’s support has been overwhelming and we look forward to sharing this remarkable evening with him,” he said.
Whitney, through his charity, the Git-R-Done Foundation, is highly dedicated to helping children and veterans through organizations supporting these focus areas.
The Git-R-Done Foundation is a non-profit organization established in 2009 by Larry and his wife, Cara, as a focal point for the family’s philanthropy. Emphasizing children’s and veterans’ causes, the Foundation has donated to great organizations throughout the United States and on April 25, will be helping Team Jack raise much needed funds for pediatric brain cancer research.

As of January, the Team Jack movement has committed over $1.1 million for pediatric brain cancer research. The Team Jack Foundation is working with world renowned researchers, directly, to develop relevant and impactful research initiatives.
