4-Her’s compete in speech, music

Chase and Perkins County 4-H members demonstrated their musical and vocal talents with their Premier Communication Event April 14 at the Imperial Berean Church.
Six different divisions competed.
Sadie Sauder won the grand championship in  junior speech with her performance of “Hoss, My Imaginary Horse”.
In the intermediate speech division, Sawyer Sauder’s “Feral Frank” was named grand champion and Hayden Fowler was reserve champion with “I Get Knocked Down But I Get Up Again”.
Joel and John Adle entered Public Service Announcements. Joel was grand champion with “4-H is a Feeling But It’s More Than That”. John’s PSA “I Went to the Chase County Fair” was reserve champion.
There were nine instrumental acts.
James and Maria Adle were grand champions with “Children of the Heavenly Father”. Maria was also reserve champion for her performance “Ballade”.
In the vocal division, Maria, John, Joel and James Adle were grand champions with their performance of “The Fox”.
Josie Sauder and Katherine Varilek performed as Clover Kids.
