Put the flip flop to the metal PDF Print E-mail

You didn’t have to be a farmer to ride a tractor at the Chase County Fair last Friday. A total of 135 children, ages four to 12, pushed the pedal to the concrete during the pedal tractor pull.
Dressed in anything from flip flops to cowboy boots to tennis shoes, the children strove to drive their tractor, complete with weight, the furthest distance for a win.
Event volunteer Tara Oxford said participation was up over past years. The tractors are provided by Bruce and Cindy Ash of Arcadia, Neb.
