Ogallala’s Gary Schreiner and Bob Murphy took top honors at the Senior 2-Man Scramble by four strokes over Dave Engel and Randy Styskal July 23.
Matt Klima took first place at the Kenny Denker Memorial Men’s Open on Sunday, July 26 with a three-round score of 116.
Chase County Schools will officially start practices for high school sports Monday, Aug. 10.

It’s always tough to see the season end, but Coach Bruce Peterson told his team their 5-2 season-ending loss last week was to a very good Ogallala team. The seniors ended the short season with a 4-6 record and good prospects for next year.
After an opening game win, the Imperial seniors fell to top-seeded Ogallala, 5-2, last week in the semi-finals of the Mid-Nebraska League’s west division tourney.
