After a 60-43 win over Ord in the first round of the Sidney Holiday Tournament, the Chase County boys’ basketball team split games with McCook and Gordon-Rushville to end last week’s tournament.
It took longer than expected, but the Wauneta-Palisade girls’ basketball team is 6-4 after losing to North Platte St. Pat’s and beating Arapahoe at last week’s Arapahoe Holiday Tournament.
A heavyweight during his first two years on the Chadron State College wrestling team, Eli Hinojosa of Imperial has shed about 65 lbs. and will compete at 197 lbs.
Chase County’s wrestlers will travel to Saturday’s Garden County Invitational after a three-week holiday break.
