Expecting a good group of incoming freshmen, Chase County wrestling coaches were pleasantly surprised by the size and attitude of their team this year.

Chase County sophomore Jaret Peterson is well on his way to becoming the school’s next three time state wrestling medalist after a third place finish at last week’s state tournament.
The Wauneta-Palisade wrestling team showed improvement this season, qualifying two for last week’s state meet and picking up two wins at the meet.
With subdistrict wins over Mitchell and Hershey, the Chase County girls’ basketball team advanced to face Grand Island Central Catholic in the C1-4 district final this Friday in North Platte.
