The Chase County Veterans Memorial project is moving ahead with increased donations and sales of memorial bricks, T-shirts and caps.

As thunderstorms held off moving into the area, Hendricks Cattle Company once more held off all competition at the Chase County Fair’s Ranch Rodeo Aug. 15.

The weather was perfect for 31 youths and their turtles who competed in the turtle races last Wednesday at the fairgrounds.
Prescribed burns are planned on some Nebraska Game and Parks Commission’s wildlife management areas (WMA) and state parks, where weather conditions allow.
