The winner could pick from an assortment of Dewalt tools, a flatiron gas grill or a locked mystery gun box with a mystery gun inside. All 11 hat owners stood at the front of the crowd and were eliminated one by one with a random chip draw. The last one standing was Cash Swanson. Swanson had no hesitation when asked which prize he wanted. He picked the mystery gun locked in the box. This year was stress free for Dietrich Pursley, at left. Pursley was the only one of the seven youth who attended the hunt and also attended the banquet, winning him this brand new shotgun.

Southwest Nebraska Community Betterment Corporation (SWNCBC) is leading a cooperative effort to provide some needed renovation to homes located within the incorporated communities of Perkins, Chase
