Clarence ‘Butch’ Way - January 23, 2014


Clarence “Butch” Way of Wauneta passed away Jan. 16, 2014 at Denver General Hospital in Denver, Colorado. He was 70 years of age.
Survivors include companion Mary Ann Way of Wauneta, daughter Melissa Hipps and companion Scott Hecker of North Platte, step-daughter Tisa Vanderpool of Texas, sons Clarence L. Way Jr., of Arizona, Raymond Way of Arizona; Terry Way of Wyoming, David Way of Wyoming and Adam Way of Wyoming; brother Willard Way and wife Judy of Mead, Neb., sisters Darlene Jens and companion Ken Schafer of Champion and Sue Meyers of Champion and brother Lee Way and wife Mary Jo of David City, Neb.
Graveside memorial services will be at 1 p.m. MT on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, at Crete Cemetery, rural Champion, Neb., with Vicar Jake Berger officiating and full military honors. Graveside services will be held in conjunction with services for his brother Ray Way.
Family and friends are invited to the Imperial VFW after services.
There will be no visitation, Butch chose cremation.
A memorial has been established in Butch’s memory.
