James ‘Jim’ Wagner - November 04, 2010
James Paul Wagner was born April 30, 1956, in Imperial, Neb., to Fred J. and Hazel (Hedges) Wagner.
Jim was baptized in Imperial and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Loveland, Colo.
As a youngster he attended Imperial Grade School and Loveland Public School.
At age 16, Jim became a licensed locksmith, working in Loveland.
He later returned to Imperial where he was employed as a maintenance man for Sunset and Sunrise Apartments. Jim felt at home at Sunset and considered the residents there his family. He enjoyed helping friends and neighbors.
Jim passed away Friday morning, Oct. 29, 2010, at the Indian Hills Manor in Ogallala, Neb. He was 54 years of age.
Jim was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Imperial. He loved photography and working on computers.
He was preceded in death by his father, Fred J. Wagner.
Survivors include his mother, Hazel Wagner of Imperial, Neb.; brother, Jesse Martin and wife, Linda, of Sutherland, Neb.; brother, Floyd Wagner and wife, Dana, of Grand Junction, Colo.; brother, Lynn Wagner, of Loveland, Colo.; nieces and nephews, Gwen Wagner, Gabe Wagner, Aaron Martin and wife, Carolee, Matt Martin and wife, Alicia, Darcey Kramer and husband, Jared, Erik Martin and Thom Martin and wife, Jill; numerous great nieces and nephews and friends.
Memorial services for Jim Wagner were held Tuesday morning, Nov. 2, 2010, 11 a.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church of Imperial, with Pastor David Kahle officiating.
A private family inurnment will take place at a later date.
A memorial has been established to the Imperial Public Library.
