Marian Adler - October 07, 2010

Marian Donnis Adler, 89, of Longmont, Colo., died Sept. 28, 2010 in Longmont, Colo.
Marian was born April 1, 1921 in Longmont, Colo. to James and Florence (Edwards) Gwin.
She attended school in Longmont and graduated from Longmont High School with the class of 1939.
On June 7, 1941 she married Floyd Adler in Loveland, Colo.
The Adler’s made their home in Longmont where they owned and operated Adler Land and Cattle and the Adler Family Farms.
Marian was not only a homemaker for her large family but also the bookkeeper for the farms.
She was also an active member in the Bethlehem Lutheran Church where Floyd and Marian had renewed their marriage vows on their 50th Anniversary.
Preceding her in death are her parents, her son James, her daughter Barbara Kuhn, her brothers Roy, Donald, Keith, Bob and Ralph Gwin and her sisters Peg Stratton and Kate Gwin. She was also preceded by her great grandson, Jacob Adler Balman.
Surviving Marian are her husband, Floyd, of Longmont, Colo.; her sons, Gary (Nanette) Adler, Wray, Colo., Dennis (JoAnne) Adler, Greeley, Colo., Randy (Linda) Adler, Mongolia, Doug (Rhonda) Adler, Longmont, Colo.; her daughter, Patricia (Randy) Snider, Mead. Colo.; and her daughter-in-law, Cynthia Adler, Longmont, Colo. She is further survived by her brother, Glen (Ina) Gwin, Longmont, Colo.; 15 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 1, 2010 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church with Pastor Kirsten Sauey officiating.
Burial followed at Foothills Gardens of Memory.
