Ticket brochures for the 2009 Chase County Fair Aug. 9-16 in Imperial went in the mail Tuesday with regular ticket sales opening up Friday, June 26.
This year’s grandstand entertainment will feature another great line-up of rock and country bands.
On Friday, Aug. 14, 38 Special  will take the stage in front of the grandstand.  They will be followed by the dance band, The Rumbles, also in the grandstand area.
Country music will reign on Saturday night, Aug. 15, with the group Little Big Town.
Both shows will start at 7:30 p.m. MT.
This year’s brochure outlines all of the planned activities for fair week and includes an order form for all ticketed events.
These events include the musical Sunday, Aug. 10 through Tuesday, Aug. 12, the demolition derby Thursday, Aug. 13 and the two grandstand shows.
The fair and Heart of America Shows Carnival will again offer a carnival mega-ride pass that includes all rides each day of the carnival.
Ticket specials available
Fair organizers will cater to fans who want to get their tickets right away and save some money in the process.
An on-line promotion began Monday, June 22, on the fair’s website, www.chasecountyfair.com and will end at midnight tonight (Thursday, June 25).
The promotion enables fair fans to join the fair’s e-mail fan club. By doing so, fans can purchase a total of four tickets for only $15 each. Regular price on the tickets is $30 each.
The four tickets can be purchased on-line in any combination for either show.
Regular ticket sales will open to the public on Friday, June 26, by either mail, phone or on-line.
Fair organizers have not forgotten these fair ticket purchasers either.
If people purchase their tickets prior to Monday, Aug. 3, they can buy grandstand show tickets for $25 each instead of the regular price of $30. Discounts are also available for the musical and demo derby.
This marks the first year the fair will also offer a volume discount on ticket purchases.
Anyone purchasing 10 or more tickets in any combination before Aug. 3 can buy the ticket lot for $20 each.
Fair board members said the ticket offers were made to show their appreciation to people who are loyal supporters and to lay the foundation to expand that base.
Dave Schilke, fair board president, said the fair has put together another great line-up of entertainment and events for the annual week-long extravaganza.
Phone orders can be made by calling 800-472-FAIR (3247) or 308-882-5260. On-line orders can also be placed on the web site previously mentioned.
