Meetings to explain options on CRP contracts
There are a large number of acres that will expire from CRP contracts in the state of Nebraska on Sept. 30 of this year, and over 60 percent of those acres will be in the Panhandle.
As of today, there are no provisions for extensions and no word on when a general signup might be available. So, what are landowners going to do with those acres??
The Nebraska State FSA and NRCS staff will hold two producer meetings to give important information concerning the options. The meetings will be held at the following locations:
Wednesday, April 22, at 9 a.m., Kimball Event Center, 615 E 3rd St, in Kimball.
Thursday, April 23 at 9 a.m. Rushville American Legion, 206 Sprague, in Rushville.
