Amazing animals coming to SCORE camp this summer PDF Print E-mail

Khoreen and Paul White currently work for Wildlife Encounters.
They travel the school year state to state promoting awareness and enthusiasm for wildlife, the natural world and encouraging conservation education. They have worked with Jim Fowler and Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom.
Currently they are touring with animals of the Outback, bringing Australia to the children in the US so that they can learn about the unique animals of this secluded continent.
The Whites will be bringing several exotic animals with them to S.C.O.R.E. camp this summer.
Plans are to bring the following animals an African serval, a Fennec fox, Lesser Flying Phalangers (sugar gliders), a kookaburra, a salt water crocodile, a large snake, a large yellow foot tortoise, a parakeet, tarantulas and several other reptiles and invertebrates.
Depending on the schedule, Wildlife Encounters has for the animals in June, they might also bring a baboon, a kangaroo and perhaps a raptor.
The public is invited to the “Amazing Animals” Outreach Programs scheduled for Monday, June 15 at the Chase County Schools auditorium at 11 a.m. MDT and again at 4 p.m.
The Whites will also be presenters at the S.C.O.R.E. Science Show Wednesday, June 17, at the Chase County Fairgrounds at 6:30 p.m. MDT.
Students in grades 1-6 will have the opportunity all week to learn more about the exotic animals, other vertebrates and invertebrates, and how to care for their own pets and other animals.
The Whites have taught at three S.C.O.R.E. camps prior to their present position. They love teaching at S.C.O.R.E. so much that they take their vacation time to come to Imperial. They love being able to have a job where they can wake up every morning and love to go to work.
Wildlife Encounters was also at the Chase County Fair in 2007.
