The first day of 2010-11 classes at Chase County Schools arrived Wednesday this week for K-12 students. Shortly before 8 a.m., students and parents were arriving in droves, but traffic was slowed along East 9th in front of the school as street replacement work continues. The crew was working on sidewalk replacement, which students had to walk around, marked off by several caution barriers. The circular school drive in front of the school was open, but due to the closing of the east end of the street to complete the cement pour there, some busses were forced to come from the west on East 9th to get to the school building.
