Wauneta Crossroads in Wauneta has a day full of great food and great prizes on tap for their grand opening coming up this Saturday, during which owners Tracy and Janice Haarberg of Imperial and manager Angie West of Wauneta will showcase Crossroad’s newly renovated eat-in area.
The Haarbergs and West took over operation of the Highway 6 filling station and convenience store in September 2008, but delayed their grand opening until renovations and facility improvements were completed.
In addition to gas pump service and convenience store items, Crossroads has continued with its bulk fuel sales and delivery and association with Sinclair.
With the interior renovations, seating and shelving space has been enlarged, doubling the display space available. Crossroads has added to their menu items and now offers a wide selection of maga- zines, books and greeting cards to their customers.
They continue to sell park entry stickers, as well as hunting and fishing permits.
The Crossroads crew has invited everyone to stop by Saturday as pizza samples and door prize giveaways are planned throughout the day.
A free lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. On the menu are barbecue pork sandwiches, potato salad, chips and drinks.
