Patients provided 24/7 info via new web portal service
Chase County Clinic recently added a service that will allow patients to check certain medical information via a secure web-based system called the patient portal.
This service is used in conjunction with the clinic’s electronic health records and will assist in the communication between patients and medical staff easily, safely and securely over the Internet.
Patients are given secure passwords that allow them to log into the Chase County Clinic system and access personal information. Providers will have the capability to notify patients for their health maintenance reminders, procedure due dates and also send them patient statements and lab results electronically—minimizing the need for patients to call the office.
The Chase County Clinic patient portal uses leading edge technology to promote healthcare and make it easier to perform preventive care. It gives patients 24/7 access to their medical information from the comfort and privacy of their own home or office.
The patient portal allows patients to view and update personal information such as name, address contact information as well as allergy information and surgical history. Patients can also send and receive messages to and from the doctor or nurse, complete health questions and schedule follow-up visits or testing, view their statements to see their balance and much more.
With the patient portal, providers have faster and timelier interaction with the patient, and no wasted time playing “phone tag” with patients. Instant medical history provides an additional level of secure communication between patient and provider, allowing providers to be informed and pro-active at the time of the office visit.
Access to the portal is provided to patients of Chase County Hospital and Clinics free of charge in an on-going effort to improve the accessibility and quality of care at the Chase County Clinic.
Those interested in enrolling in the patient portal need to contact the Chase County Clinic for a registration form. Once this form is completed and returned, they will be provided a login, password and navigation instructions.
