Wauneta hunter safety class still being planned
A hunter safety course planned in Wauneta this fall apparently is still on, but the organizer is having trouble getting with a Nebraska Game and Parks official to find out details.

Longhorn Booster BBQ yields good food, good times, high spirits
The line of hungry school supporters was long, waiting to get plates of BBQ roast beef sandwiches, baked beans, chips and a drink Monday night.

Earliest of sports, softball opens season on Tuesday
While most are concentrating on the Chase County Fair this week, Lady Longhorn Coach Denise Smith has softball on her mind.
