The Nebraska Department of Education-funded breakfast and lunch program through Chase County Schools was extended through June 30.
Chase County Schools will not pursue a school-sponsored preschool this fall.
After a lengthy discussion Tuesday night, school board members made no motion on the proposal.
May 4-8 was Teacher Appreciation Week, and four CCS students took it upon themselves to make and deliver close to 50 signs to all the teachers.

Imperial resident and soon-to-be Chase County Schools middle-school teacher Sonya Schilke had a virtual graduation from Chadron State College Saturday. Schilke received her Bachelor’s in Education degree. Her friend, Alicia Fries, placed congratulations signs in her yard.
College students are still receiving their post-secondary diplomas even though ceremonies are postponed or moved to a virtual format due to COVID-19.
