In the early morning hours Tuesday Jan. 27, the Imperial Volunteer Fire Dept. and the Lamar Volunteer Fire Dept. were called to a structure fire in Lamar. The old church that was no longer in use was a total loss. The quonset beside the church, owned by Kevin Way’s Trucking Company was unharmed. Crews worked until mid morning making sure the fire was contained and out.

Permit renewal proposed with major modification to expand for Imperial C&D disposal site
The Nebraska Department of Water, Energy, and Environment (DWEE) is considering a five-year renewal of the operating permit for the City of Imperial Construction and Demolition Waste Disposal Area.
Manager Mathew Cotton and employee Taylor Anderson are ready to serve Imperial and the Chase County area at Eastern Sky Tires.
