Husker game day special for members of Weir family

    Husker fans eagerly awaited the opening of another NU football season at Memorial Stadium Saturday.

Marvin Large (seated, center) and his late wife, Arlene, were presented the first Pioneer Award from the Beef Reproductive Task Force. Larges were honored Aug. 29 during the Applied Reproductive Strategies in Beef Cattle Symposium in Manhattan, Kan. KSU beef Pioneer Award named in honor of Marvin and Arlene Large

The multi-state university-based Beef Reproduction Leadership Team presented its inaugural Pioneer Award Aug. 29 to Marvin and the late Arlene Large of Imperial.
