On November 19th, 2025, the Southwest Public Power District Board of Directors approved the proposed new retail rates.

A young Dr. J. Gordon Christensen, original organizer of the Chase County Area Arts Council, at his piano. The CCAAC will host an art exhibition on Nov. 8 that signifies the launch of a community fundraiser to establish an arts center in Imperial. One anonymous donor will match funds raised up to $26,000, while another has pledged to match $1,000.
In response to community feedback and to better accommodate those averse to getting out after dark, the Chase County Area Arts Council (CCAAC) has updated the hours for its upcoming art exhibition
