Firefighters honor their own; awards night held in new hall

    Members of the Imperial Volunteer Fire Department (IVFD) had more than just their annual awards to celebrate Friday night.

Two pickups involved in an early Saturday evening accident sustained damage that called out Imperial police, Imperial EMS, the fire department and sheriff’s office personnel. The pickup, at left, driven by Bruce Way hit the stop sign trying to avoid the collision.

Weekend accidents summon emergency personnel

    Emergency personnel had another busy weekend with a pair of accidents, one on Saturday and another Sunday.
