On May 22, members of the Silver Spurs 4-H Club, as their Community Service, planted flowers at the Veterans Memorial. We were honored to have Bob Thomas visit the Club while the members were planting. The members were able to ask him questions about his service in the Navy. Silver Spurs 4-H Club donates the pots and flowers on an annual basis to Honor our Local Veterans for their Service to protect our Country and Freedom. Shaylee Ann Heathers graduated from Iowa State University with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Shaylee graduated on May 16, 2025 Summa Cum Laude, High Distinction. She achieved her undergraduate degree in 2021 from the University of Nebraska in Animal Science. Shaylee will be a mixed animal Veterinarian at the Crete Veterinary Clinic in Crete, NE. Shaylee is a 2017 graduate of Chase County High School and the daughter of Gene and Tracy Heathers of Champion, NE..
