The Wauneta Public Library was recognized for its 100 years of service by being named this year’s Wauneta Harvest Fest parade grand marshal. Emergency personnel gathered at the scene of a semi/car accident last Wednesday, east of Imperial. After the collision, the car ended up in the south ditch along Highway 6.
A cattle-filled semi-trailer and a 2002 Chrysler sedan collided about five miles east of Imperial last week near the Imperial Valley Holiness Camp.
A Denver, Colorado woman remained in the Chase County Jail on Monday after her arrest last week on a Colorado warrant.
On July 14 a recall petition was filed with the Dundy County Clerk Miles Preston against Sheriff Clinton J. Smith. Former Dundy County Commissioner Jerry Fries filed the petition.
