This is the architect’s rendering of what the front of the new hospital facility will look like. Voters will decide in May whether to proceed with the plan.

    The fate of a new hospital in Chase County will be decided by voters in a special election this May.

    In 2020, nearly 9,000 acres in the Upper Republican Natural Resources District will come out of retirement.

    At least one attorney involved in the hospital bill controversy between the city of Imperial and Chase County said he’s still processing last week’s Supreme Court opinion.

The Longhorn boys’ basketball team started the 2018-19 season with the loss of only one starter to graduation.

Four area teams made the trip to Lincoln last week for the high school boys’ state basketball tournament.
They all came back without  titles, however.

    As Coach Mark Bottom looks back on his Lady Longhorn girls’ basketball season, he rates it nothing more than successful.
