The CCS Longhorn cross country team will begin practice on Monday, Aug. 18.
Coach Carl Zuege said high school runners should meet in the school’s weight room that day by 6:45 a.m. The junior high team will begin their practices once school begins.
Zuege reminds runners they need to have their physical completed and other paperwork turned in to the Activity Director’s office before being allowed to practice.
Because practice does not begin until after the fair this year, all runners are eligible and encouraged to participate in the Chase County Fair Run on Aug. 16, he said.
Runners or parents with questions can direct them to Zuege at 308-883-0009.
The high school team’s first meet will be Friday, Sept. 5, in Cambridge at 1 p.m. MT.
