‘It never gets old.’ CCS claims state track title

Watching his team huddle together to celebrate its state track title, Chase County girls’ Head Coach Troy Hauxwell said, “It never gets old.”

The Chase County girls’ track team always takes a victory lap after a meet, but the group slowed down after winning the Class C state championship Saturday and walked the lap. Lady Longhorns show resiliency, win state championship

Every coach will tell you it takes luck to win a championship.
To many, it felt like the Chase County girls’ track team was snake bit at the state meet.
