Jaret Peterson got off to a great start at the state tournament in Omaha. In his first match, Peterson took only one minute to pin Christian Nordby of Pierce to advance to the quarterfinals.

Thomas Reeves brought home a third place medal from Omaha. Reeves works to get top control of Kreyton Rockefeller of Gibbon in the first match of the medal rounds. Reeves won the match 10-7 and went on to beat Brice Chaplin of Broken Bow in his final match to secure a third place finish.
With seven wrestlers attending the state tournament from CCS, the Longhorns brought home three medals, including a fifth place, third place and a State Champion.
The Longhorns kept the hot streak rolling Friday night when they traveled to Sutherland for the last regular season game of the year.
The season came to an end for the Wauneta-Palisade girls basketball team Thursday night.
