Really? Presidential campaigning already?

The election is 21 months away; I’m tired of it already.

Just a few months past the 2018 mid-terms, it’s presidential campaign time already. The General Election isn’t until November 2020, but based on the daily coverage of Democratic hopefuls, you’d think it was a few months away.
Some speculators say there could be as many as 40 politicians, business people and celebrities considering a run for the Democratic nomination. Bernie Sanders, who gave Hillary Clinton a significant challenge for the 2016 Democratic nomination, recently announced he’s in.
Joe Biden, who said he’ll decide sometime this month, is considered another top contender and is already hinting at it.
Add to that senators like Cory Booker, Kamala Harris and Elizabeth Warren, governors and congressmen, and it will be an interesting field.
Expect to hear a lot of tearing down of President Trump, the Republican, the one all of them would surely like to face. But that’s politics in America these days—spend more time tearing apart your opponent so that you supposedly build yourself up.
Frankly, I’m tired of it already and the election is 21 months away! Blame much of that on the 24-hour-a-day cable news stations that, after all, have to put something on the air.
