Nebraska Strong; Trump cleared; bond election set
Much of northeast and eastern Nebraska, along with northwest Nebraska has been decimated by a freak “cyclone bomb” storm that brought blinding, drifting snow in the west and rain in the east that led to flooding like this state has never seen before.
We all know people in those parts of the state and our hearts go out to them as they struggle to get their lives back together—cattle herds smothered by snow; cattle and new crops of calves swept away; farmland under water.
If the ag economy hasn’t been bad enough already over the last several years . . .
But Nebraska and Nebraskans are resilient and we all stick together—NEBRASKA STRONG!
It’s been amazing seeing the outpouring of support and help from around the state and our neighbors north, south, east and west.
The pages of this week’s paper chronicle the local efforts to help our fellow Nebraskans. Thanks to all who stepped up to help make the lives of others a little bit better in this time of need.
