An example of faith

We often see examples of how faith empowers others to overcome the challenges faced in everyday life.

Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve had more than one person tell me just how important their faith in God was to them in dealing with challenging times in their lives.
For one, it was a battle with cancer. For another, it was family challenges. For another, it was the death of a loved one.
“I would have never gotten through this if it hadn’t been for my faith,” one of them noted. Without faith, another wondered whether they would still be with us.    That’s a frightening thought.
We often see examples of how faith empowers others to overcome the challenges faced in everyday life. Young or old—it doesn’t matter. God is always there for us.
In late August, Drew Haley, a junior at Leyton High School, suffered a freak knee injury in a football game that would ultimately force doctors to amputate his leg midway down from the knee.
Putting myself in his shoes, I can only imagine how devastated I would be to learn that my life will be forever changed. How easy it would be to be bitter.
However, the family told the Omaha World-Herald (OWH) that’s not the case, due in large part to their Mormon faith.
