Lady Longhorns basketball season concludes

Three Chase County Wrestlers finished with medals at the State Wrestling Meet held Feb. 20-22. Zach Tarin was fired up after his sudden victory win Friday night. Tarin finished as runner-up at heavyweight.
Westyn Mendenhall was six seconds from missing out on the medals, but dug deep and scored five points to advance to claim a fifth place finish.
Luis Co finished third at 144 pounds, with his only loss coming from the eventual champ

Haley Rusher punched her ticket to the finals with this pin over Lucia Cambell of Auburn in just 1:41 of the first period.
Peyton Owens just started her wrestling career her senior year. Not many wrestlers can only be one year into the sport and bring home hardware from the State Tournament, but she did, placing fourth in Class B at 140 pounds.

Broncos fall to Maywood/Hayes Center
Friday, Feb. 14, the boys and girls basketball teams hosted the Maywood/Hayes Center Wolves on the hardwood court.
The Broncos fell short in both games.
