W/P Volleyball goes 2-3 in last week

    Tuesday, Sept. 23 the W/P Bronco Volleyball Team traveled to Paxton for the Paxton Invitational. The Broncos played a tight match with the Paxton Tigers.
    The Tigers took the win in the first set 21-25, but the Broncos turned it around in the second set, taking a 25-22 victory.
    In a back and forth third set that only goes to 15, but you have to win by two, the Broncos came up on the short end of a 23-25 set, giving the Tigers the match win.
    In their next game, the Broncos faced Wallace (4-12), handling business in a two set sweep, 25-16 and 25-17. to win the match.
    On Saturday, Sept. 27, the Broncos traveled to the Bertrand Invitational. In the most evenly matched game of the day the Broncos fell to Sandhills/Thedford in three sets, 24-26, 25-21 and 22-24.
    The Broncos then fell to Kenesaw (13-5) in two sets, 12-25 and 23-25. In the final match of the day, the Broncos swept Ravenna with scores of 25-19 and 25-18.
    That brings the lady Broncos record to 10-8 on the year.
