W/P volleyball ends season

    W/P Volleyball Team upset the Morrill Lions in the finals of the D1-12 sub-districts, winning the match in four sets. The Broncos entered the match with a 19-10 record, while the Lions came in with a record of 24-3.
    Morrill controlled the first set, winning 18-25, but the Broncos fought back and won the next three sets, 25-20, 25-22 and 25-17, to advance to the district finals to face the Overton Eagles.
    The Eagles would play host to the Broncos in the D1-2 District Final and came into the game with a record of 24-5 and were the second seed. Wauneta/Palisade was seeded 15th.
    In the first set, the Broncos kept it close throughout the game, but fell 21-25. In the next two sets, the Eagles started to roll on offense, winning the second set 25-13 and the third, 25-15, bringing the season to an end for the Broncos.
    Morrill made the D1-4 finals on wildcard points as the number four seed, but fell to the 13 seed, Cross County.
    The Broncos finished the season with a 20-11 record.
