The Wauneta/Palisade Teams brought home four medals from the State Meet in Omaha last weekend.

W/P girls finish 19th at State Track in Omaha

    The W/P Track team had a good showing at the State Track Meet held at Burke Stadium in Omaha.
    The top finisher for the Broncos was Molly Yearous, finishing in third place in the Class C girls pole vault, with a personal best vault of 10’.
    The girls 4x800 relay team (Annaly Ramirez, Addalyn Einspahr, Kamryn Fanning, Andrea Almanza), took fourth place, running a time of 10:25.21.
    Andrea Almanza won eighth place medals in the 800 and 1600 meter runs. Annaly Ramirez just missed a medal in the 1600 meter run and the 3200 meter run, finishing in ninth and 10th place respectively.
    The girls 4x400 relay of (Addalyn Einspahr, Natalie Walker, Kamryn Fanning, Molly Yearous), finished in 10th place.
    Lillian Dinnel finished the high jump in 11th place, with a jump of 4’ 11”.
    Finishing 10th in the boys 4x400 relay were: David Bryner, Kameran McCrumb, Wyatt Hilbert and Kreyton Wiese, with a time of 3:35.34.
    Prospects look good for next year, with only Kameran McCrumb and Lillian Dinnel graduating.
    The Lady Broncos scored 12.5 points to finish the meet in 19th place. The boys didn’t score.
    Taking first in both the boys and girls in Class D was Dundy County Stratton, with the boys winning by 23 points over Anselmo-Merna and the girls winning by 21 over Wausa.
