W/P Broncos win at home against Fleming Wildcats

    Friday, Sept. 5, was the home opener for the Wauneta/Palisade Football Team against the Fleming Wildcats. The Broncos dominated the game, winning 34-6, improving their record to 2-0.
    The Broncos scored in every quarter of the game. In the first quarter, Kreyton Wiese put the first points on the board for the Broncos, with a two yard plunge. The two point conversion failed and the Broncos led 6-0.
    Early in the second quarter, David Bryner ran one in from 22 yards out. The kick attempt was no good, leaving the score 12-0.
    Still in the second quarter, Wiese scored again from a yard out. The two point conversion was good and the Broncos led at the half, 20-0.
    Wiese ran another score in from two yards out in the third quarter, followed by a failed two point conversion, bringing the score to 26-0.
    In the fourth quarter, QB Nathan Hiett hit Wyatt Hilbert for a nine yard TD pass. The two point conversion was good and the Broncos led 34-0.
    Late in the fourth quarter, Fleming got on the board with a two yard TD pass. The two point conversion failed and the game ended 34-6.
