W/P boys wrestle at CCS Invite

    The Wauneta/Palisade Boys traveled to Imperial for the Chase County Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 17. The boys finished in eighth place out of the 26 team field, scoring 94.5 points.
    W/P finished with a first, second, third and a fourth in varsity action and a second and fourth in JV.
    David Bryner took first place at 175 pounds. Kreyton Wiese finished second at 190, Konner McCrumb third at 138 and Colton Koetter fourth at 215.
    Jack Ward took second in the JV 175 pound division and Bobby Chism finished fourth in JV 138.

    138: Konner McCrumb pinned Romain Ryder Sid, 1:35; pinned Ty Anders Craw, 2:50; was pinned by Cable Larsen GC, 0:24; pinned Jonah Conley Brid, 2:43; pinned Kolbe Foster McC, 2:35 for third place.
    150: Liam Dinnell was pinned by Blake Collins Brid, 2:55; lost by decision to Morrison Tooley Sid, 1-2.
    165: Kameran McCrumb pinned Dalton Norman Craw, 1:57; was pinned by Zech Roggasch Sid, 1:00; pinned Kale DaMoude Her, 1:55; was pinned by Colton Fote Pax, 4:57.
    175: David Bryner won by tech-fall over Elijah Meyer Pax, 18-3; pinned Damon Spady CCS, 1:17; pinned Colt Roberson GC, 0:54; won by decision over Vince Mashek McC, 12-5 for first place.
    190: Kreyton Wiese bye, pinned Bentley Stull Kim, 0:20; won by decision over Karson Hubl HiC, 10-4; was pinned by Gabe Roberts McC, 5:21 for second place.
    215: Colton Koetter pinned Coen Greenlee McC, 5:13; was pinned by Cayson Boltjes Sid, 1:19; pinned Jose Chavez Mor, 2:36; won by decision over  Jaxton Payton Sout, 13-8; pinned Grayson Mitchell Brid, 2:03; was pinned by Karson Shuler HiCo, 2:23 for fourth place.
