W/P basketball wraps up RPAC tourney

On Tuesday, Jan. 27, the boys wrapped up their RPAC Tournament with a loss to Paxton, 27-51, dropping the boys record to 1-16.
The boys could never get into the double digit scoring, falling behind by five after the first and trailing by 16 at the half. Paxton added nine to their lead in the third and just tried to run out the clock in the fourth, taking the 27-51 win.
The girls played Paxton on Thursday, Jan. 29 and fell in a tight game, 35-38. That makes the girls record 10-8 for the season.
After trailing 6-9 at the end of the first quarter, the Broncos came back to take the lead at halftime, 14-12. In the third quarter the Broncos added two more points to their lead, going up 28-24.
In the fourth quarter, the shots wouldn’t fall and Paxton had their best scoring period of the night, putting up 14 to the Broncos seven and taking the win.
